An Axiomatic, Bioenergetic, and Dialectical Synthesis of Joe Dixon’s Critique. Watch the video.
“The English Peasants’ Revolt of 1381 was brutally crushed. Had the peasants won, could they have successfully run England? Or would it have been a disaster? … Why do the working class fail to rise up today and overthrow the super-rich ruling elites who are oppressing them, robbing them and ruining their lives? A primary reason is that they do not believe they could manage a modern complex economy… They don’t think they’re up to it. They’re afraid. Terrified.”
— Joe Dixon
The Metaphysical Foundation — Final Causality via Axiom 1 (PSR) and Axiom 2 (Occam’s Razor)
Axiom 1: The Principle of Sufficient Reason (PSR) & Final Causality
Joe Dixon poses the ultimate question: Why do the subjugated perpetually protect and re-elect their own subjugation? The Principle of Sufficient Reason states: Nihil est sine ratione cur potius sit quam non sit — nothing exists, occurs, or fails to occur without a sufficient reason why it is thus and not otherwise. When Joe Dixon observes that the working class refrains from overthrowing an elite that is demonstrably plundering them, standard political discourse points to superficial epiphenomena: lack of political education, media propaganda, voter apathy, or ideological false consciousness. Under the PSR, these are insufficient proximal causes. They describe mechanisms, not reasons. The masses do not submit because they miscalculate marginal tax rates; they submit because servitude has become the structural condition of their psychological integrity. The terror Dixon identifies is not the fear of economic scarcity, but the metaphysical terror of Autonomy (Will-to-Power / Teleological Sovereignty). To manage an economy, an empire, or a republic requires an unbroken, outward-radiating, uninhibited life-force (élan vital / libido / orgone). If that bio-psychic current has been methodically strangled at the root, the human animal experiences the prospect of freedom not as liberation, but as existential disintegration (psychotic vertigo).
Axiom 2: Occam’s Razor — The Parsimonious Explanation
Occam’s Razor demands: Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate (entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity).
What is the single, minimal hypothesis that simultaneously explains all those types of people (The Ignavi, The Fellahin, The Last Men, The Idlers, The Drones, etc.)?
The Parsimonious Hypothesis: The exploited classes have been bio-energetically disarmed. The social structure is an external projection of the internalized neurosis of the populace. You cannot build a free republic with emotionally armored, somatically paralyzed subjects. 1. Freud vs. Reich: From sublimation to the “Emotional Plague” Sigmund Freud observed that civilization requires instinctual renunciation (Triebverzicht). Civilization trades happiness for security by installing the Super-Ego as an internal garrison. Yet Freud remained pessimistic, viewing neurosis as the inevitable toll of culture. Wilhelm Reich broke with Freud’s resignation by grounding psychoanalysis in somatic physics. Energy is not a metaphor. The biological life-energy, which Reich designated Orgone (and which ancient traditions understood as Kundalini, Prana, or Jing/Qi), is a concrete physical reality governing pulsatory movement, expansion, and contraction. Completely explained by ontological mathematics as well, looking at the two nadis as cosine and i sine waves, respectively. The primo vascular system “meridians” being photon transduction systems. The zero-dimensional mind recycles them (up-, down- or re-cycles the frequencies), and they flow through the PVS, manifesting the mind as a biophysical entity. When the spontaneous vegetative streaming of orgone is blocked by severe moralistic, religious, and sexual taboos: Muscular Armoring (Charakterpanzerung): The chronic contraction of the pelvic, diaphragmatic, and throat segments immobilizes the energy. Loss of Orgastic Potency: The capacity for total involuntary biological surrender and energetic discharge is annihilated. The Transmutation from Fear to Rage: Blocked life-force does not vanish; thermodynamics forbids it. Denied expansive, loving, outward expression, orgone stagnates. Stagnant orgone (DOR — Deadly Orgone) converts biological fear into sadomasochistic rage, cruelty, and deep-seated ressentiment. Reich wrote a book on that called “The Mass Psychology of Fascism” in 1933 in Germany. The book was immediately forbidden both by the Fascists and by the Communists. That is the Right Wing of today. What about the Left Wing? The LGBT movement and politics of identity. On the legal and civil plane, Reich vehemently opposed the criminalization or persecution of homosexuals, defending individual freedom and exposing the hypocrisy of state morality. Pathologically and bioenergetically, however, Reich saw homosexuality not as an innate, unchangeable biological baseline, but as a secondary symptom of severe early sexual armoring and fear of heterosexual potency. When the infant or child faces terrifying taboos, castration threats, or rigid authoritarian parenting around genital functioning, genital orgastic potency is blocked. The libido regresses to pre-genital fixations: The Oral Phase: Deep dependency, seeking authority figures to “feed” and protect them (the exact mindset of the helpless worker begging the capitalist for sustenance). The Anal Phase: Obstinacy, sadism, obsession with order, hierarchy, hoarding, and clean/unclean dichotomies (the exact psychological bedrock of bureaucratic authoritarianism and fascist purity politics). Part III: The Archeology of Repression — The Abrahamic Paradigm, Marriage, and Plato The Abrahamic Revolution: Transcendent Guilt & Libidinal Castration The ancient pagan world, despite its political brutalities, maintained a direct connection to nature, fertility, Dionysian ecstasy, and erotic vitality. The gods inhabited nature, immanent and eroticized. The Hebrew Abrahamic revolution introduced an unprecedented metaphysical mutation: The Abstract, Jealous, Sky-Father: God is removed from the immanent biological world. Nature is desacralized. Sin Inherent to Flesh: The biological pulse itself is branded as fallen, impure, and sinful. The primordial contract is sealed with bodily mutilation (circumcision as the symbolic covenant of castrated subservience). The Weaponization of Guilt: By declaring natural sexual impulses evil, the individual is placed in a permanent, insolvable internal civil war. An individual who feels intrinsically guilty at the level of their own cells cannot rebel against external authority. External rulers are merely the physical mirrors of the condemning Sky-Father. The Resulting Rage: From Repressed Libido to Fascism When centuries of systematic libidinal suppression were amplified by the rigorous moralism of Northern European Protestantism and Prussian militarism, the biological dam broke. As Reich demonstrated in The Mass Psychology of Fascism (1933): Germanyouth and the petit-bourgeoisie were not duped by Hitler’s economic programs (which were incoherent). They responded to the bio-physical resonance of authoritarian
rage. The fascist rally is an inverted, perverted orgasm: the rhythmic marching, the rigid salutes, the mass ecstasy, the hysteria, and the violent externalization of self-hatred onto the “unclean, decadent, sexually corrupt” scapegoat (the Jew, the Bolshevik, the deviant). Fascism is the revenge of the sexually crippled animal: having denied its own expansive life-force, it seeks total collective annihilation and absolute submission to a Fuehrer who embodies the punishing Patriarch. The Institution of Patriarchal Marriage as the Nursery of Reaction Why does the ruling elite defend the nuclear, patriarchal marriage with religious fervor? Reich saw the authoritarian family as the factory of the reactionary mindset: It privatizes sexuality, turning it into a proprietary, contractual commodity. It conditions the child from birth to respect the father’s absolute authority, preparing the child to bow to the boss, the priest, the general, and the head of state. It anchors private property and dynastic inheritance, preventing communal solidarity and universal brotherhood. Plato’s Republic: Abolition of the Nuclear Family This brings us directly to Plato. Why, in Book V of The Republic, did Plato advocate the complete abolition of the nuclear family and private marriage among the Guardian class? Plato understood with crystalline, axiomatic clarity that: Private family creates private interest against the commonwealth. As long as a man has “his own” wife and “his own” children, he will hoard wealth, build dynasties, and subvert the public good for nepotistic advancement. True meritocracy and collective unity are impossible under private dynastic marriage. By having children raised communally, where all elders are fathers and mothers to all youths, the emotional armor of private possession is dismantled. Plato was attempting, on a philosophical and political plane, what Reich attempted on a bioenergetic plane: to prevent the atomization of society into frightened, defensive, property-hoarding domestic bunkers.
The same pattern repeats across the ancient world: the Greek elite, like the Mesopotamian one before it, codified sexual monopoly into law and religion. The deep axiomatic question follows: what was the sufficient reason for the Abrahamic tabooisation of sex and the mandate of patriarchal marriage? The apologetic defense claims it was population management — the prevention of overpopulation and societal chaos in the resource-scarce ancient world. Applied through Axiom 2, this defense collapses under the weight of historical evidence: it was based on medical ignorance, because the ancient world already possessed an extensive pharmacopoeia of safe, effective contraceptives.
The Ancient Contraceptive Record — The Collapsed Defense
The claim that sexual repression was a necessity — that without taboo and marriage, humanity would have bred itself into chaos — is falsified by the documented history of pre-Abrahamic fertility control:
Silphium (Ferula, ancient Cyrene): so prized as a contraceptive and abortifacient that it appears on Cyrene’s coins; Pliny and the Hippocratic corpus describe its use. It was allegedly harvested to extinction by demand.
Wild carrot seeds (Daucus carota / Queen Anne’s lace): documented by Soranus in ancient Greece, with antifertility compounds confirmed in modern animal studies.
The Ebers Papyrus pessary (~1550 BCE): acacia gum, honey, and crocodile dung applied vaginally. Chemically legitimate: acacia gum ferments into lactic acid — a genuine spermicide, mechanistically akin to modern vaginal pH modifiers.
Pomegranate: used in Greek and Chinese traditions; modern research confirms steroidal antifertility compounds in its rind and seeds.
Coitus interruptus: documented in Genesis itself (the Onan narrative) — with disciplined use, roughly comparable in effectiveness to the modern condom.
Lactational amenorrhea: forager populations such as the Hadza and !Kung maintained natural birth spacing of three to four years through extended breastfeeding — the actual population-level regulator of pre-agricultural fertility, keeping total fertility near four to six births per woman with roughly half surviving.
The evolutionary baseline itself was the contraceptive: lean body mass, lactation, and long inter-birth intervals regulated fertility for hundreds of thousands of years before any priesthood claimed the mandate.
The Parsimonious Hypothesis: Dominance, Not Demography
With the demographic defense falsified, Axiom 2 points to the only remaining sufficient explanation: marriage and the tabooisation of sex were instruments of dominance and control, wielded by the dominant elite — descendants of the genuinely creative civilization-forming stratum that engineered the irrigation systems and agricultural innovations of Mesopotamia and Egypt. Across many centuries of dynastic inheritance, that creative elite ossified into a rent-seeking managerial caste. The decisive marker: Hammurabi mandated marriage as law — the creative era’s final transformation into legal codification of libidinal monopoly. The Abrahamists inherited this machinery with remarkable unoriginality: virtually all of their commandments were recycled from prior codes (compare the Code of Hammurabi, the Code of Ur-Nammu, and Hittite law). The sole genuine innovations were the commandments concerning the jealous God and the covenant of circumcision — a castration-like ceremony marking the male body as the property of the Sky-Father, the permanent brand of libidinal submission.
Analysis Through the Remaining Four Axioms
Axiom 3: The Hierarchy of Human Needs (Ontological Maslow)
The Trap: When workers are subjected to precarious wages and existential dread, their biological attention is permanently pinned to the base of the pyramid: physiological survival and safety.
The Subjugation Mechanism: An animal fighting for tomorrow’s bread has no energetic surplus for self-actualization, creative autonomy, or holistic systemic management. The elite purposefully maintains economic precarity to ensure the masses never ascend to the level of higher cognitive and political self-direction.
The Dixon Paradox: The working class fears that overthrowing the elites will collapse the bottom rung of the pyramid (survival). The slave tolerates the lash because the master controls the grain silo.
Axiom 4: Dialectics (Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis)
Thesis: Feudal/Capitalist Oligarchy (The absolute monopolization of power by an armored ruling elite).
Antithesis: The Blind Peasant Revolt of 1381 / Modern spontaneous street protests (Chaotic, reactive, unguided biological rage without theoretical structure, doomed to be crushed by organized state violence).
The French Revolution Exception (Synthesis): Why did France succeed where the 1381 peasants failed?
France did not simply consist of desperate peasants swinging scythes. The French Revolution was spearheaded by an intelligentsia armed with Enlightenment philosophy (Rousseau, Voltaire, the Encyclopedists) allied with the urban working class (sans-culottes).
Yet it must be rigorously distinguished from true meritocracy: the French Republic was not meritocratic in the sense defined by Plato or Michael Faust. A reading of the revolutionary constitutions (the Declaration of 1789, the Constitution of 1791, and the Jacobin Constitution of 1793) reveals an order that was overwhelmingly democratic, bourgeois, and property-based, not a Platonic or ontological meritocracy. Universal or property-weighted suffrage replaced monarchical decree, leaving capital accumulation, dynastic inheritance, and the nuclear family intact.
The only arena where functional proto-meritocracy briefly emerged by existential necessity was the military: Carrière ouverte aux talents (careers open to talent). Facing total invasion by European monarchies, the regime had to discard aristocratic pedigree; within years, former commoners, serfs, and stable boys rose by demonstrated competence to become brilliant marshals (Ney, Murat, Lannes). But this was an emergency military optimization, not a constitutional meritocracy. The political apparatus remained democratic-bourgeois, inevitably degenerating through the Terror and the Directory into oligarchic and imperial capture.
The Dialectical Lesson: Spontaneous revolt fails; yet mere democratic replacement of monarchs fails too, because democracy preserves the economic, dynastic, and psychological preconditions of oligarchy. Only a genuine, structural meritocracy—as outlined by Plato and Faust—can prevent the dialectic from relapsing into elite capture.
Axiom 5: Optimization
Systemic Inefficiency: Predatory capitalism and medieval feudalism are mathematically non-optimal. They allocate civilizational resources not according to productive capacity, intellectual genius, or societal flourishing, but according to dynastic accident, nepotism, and financial rent-extraction.
The Optimization Imperative: If the 1381 peasants had established a proto-meritocratic commonwealth, or if modern workers dismantle oligarchic finance, the economy does not collapse—it sheds its deadweight parasitism. The elite does not generate wealth; it intercepts the value-stream created by labor, engineering, and science. Eliminating the parasite optimizes the host organism. Incentive for optimization is important of course, so in the Meritocratic Constitution, besides 100 % inherticance tax, one is allowed an income corresponding to one million USD yearly, or a fortune of 55 million in total. In a Meritocracy, anything above that is both useless and personal dead weight, and is therefore taxed with 100 %.
Axiom 6: The Scientific and Mathematical Method
The Ideological Illusion: The elites convince the masses that the economy is a mysterious, mystical, chaotic deity (“The Invisible Hand”) that only high priests on Wall Street can pacify.
The Reality: An economy is an engineered distribution network of resources, energy, goods, and labor. It is a problem of applied mathematics and axiomatic and truly meritocratic optimization.
Synthesis: The Path Forward
Joe Dixon’s critique cuts to the psychological bone: The working class is kept in bondage not by physical chains, but by a manufactured, internalized sense of their own incompetence and biological impotence.
To overthrow predatory capitalism and prevent the recurrence of fascist regression, humanity must accomplish a dual revolution:
The External Revolution (Axioms 4, 5 & 6): The dialectical replacement of oligarchic, dynastic capitalism with a scientifically optimized, meritocratic republic, where the economy is governed by mathematical reason and public benefit.
The Internal Revolution (Axioms 1, 2 & 3 + Bioenergetics): The dissolution of emotional and muscular armoring. The reclamation of orgastic potency, the eradication of Abrahamic sexual guilt, and the dismantling of the patriarchal authoritarian family unit as the primary vector of mental slavery.
Only an energetically liberated human being possesses the courage, clarity, and sovereign will to cast off the masters and claim custody of the world.
